About Me

Hi! My name is Leigh and I am born and raised in Decatur, GA (right outside of downtown Atlanta). I love Atlanta- the diversity, music, unique neighborhoods, nature and soul make it a great place to live. I’m always happy to share my knowledge on our wonderful city and all that it has to offer. I lived in Boone, North Carolina during college (go Mountaineers!) and while I was there, I found a new appreciation for the mountains and the outdoors. I will always be a “city girl” but I still love to escape to the outdoors whenever I can.

I work in the tourism industry and I’ve been fortunate enough to get to travel all over the country for work, but I absolutely love traveling by myself on solo vacations. The thing I love most about solo traveling is that I can do whatever I want on the trip, whenever I want- my schedule each day is totally up to me. I have met some wonderful people on my trips and I personally think that solo vacations are good for the soul- I highly recommend them for everyone.

I love sports and have traveled across country to see my teams play. While I have been able to see the App State football team play all over the southeast, baseball is the sport that has allowed me to travel the most. I am doing a tour of all of the Major League Baseball stadiums and have so far seen over half of the stadiums, usually while following the Atlanta Braves. I love that each stadium has its own look and feel and it has been a great way to visit new cities.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading some of my travel tips and experiences- I love to help as many people as possible with their own traveling adventures. One of my favorite parts of a vacation is the planning process that goes into the trip, before you even leave your house. I’ll share some of my knowledge of the places I visit in hopes of making your trip the best experience and one you’ll never forget.
