Fontaine Circle Christmas Lights

Fontaine Circle Christmas Lights

If you’re like me, you love to drive around and look at Christmas lights during the holidays. There are some houses that I check out every year but this year I found some great new spots, so I thought I’d share them with you all. This list just includes houses in the Atlanta area (inside of the Perimeter…i.e. ITP). While there are tons of wonderfully decorated houses in the Atlanta suburbs, I thought I’d create a more centrally located list.

Please remember, when visiting these homes, please be respectful of their yards, parking and their neighbors as well.

  • Fontaine Circle, Decatur, GA- (2000 block)- this home was probably my favorite of all of the ones I visited. The owner told us that it took her and her son 3 months to decorate her yard, so you can imagine how awesome it is. You are allowed to walk around the yard, which I really enjoyed.

  • Avondale Estates, GA- this entire neighborhood has a lot of great decorations. One tree-lined street has lights on most of the trees and a home on Majestic Circle has lights that flash in conjunction with music. Avondale Lake has some beautifully decorated houses surrounding it and I always love to see their reflection in the lake.

Briarwillow Drive Christmas Lights

  • Briarwillow Dr., Atlanta, GA (2000 block)- located near the Oak Grove area, this home had plenty for you to see. The street is located right across from the “Atlanta White House” (a house that is a replica of the White House), so if you’ve never seen that as well, be sure to check that out while you’re in the area.

Lambeth Circle Christmas Lights

  • Lambeth Circle, Doraville, GA (3000 block)- this home was pretty impressive for the amount of yard they have. Also, there are some other good light displays right around the corner on Addison Dr. so don’t miss those too.

Trentwood Place Christmas Lights

  • Trentwood Place NE, Atlanta, GA (1000 block)- this is one of those amazingly bright displays that really looks cool in pictures. It’s in the Brookhaven area and not too far from the Doraville Christmas displays, if you wanted to see all of them in one drive.

  • Wisteria Way NE, Atlanta, GA (2000 block)- this home is bright with Christmas spirit! It’s located in the Kirkwood neighborhood and there are some other houses in the area with nice decorations as well (just not as impressive as this house).

  • E. Parkwood Lane, Decatur, GA- this entire street (as well as W. Parkwood) has these magical balls in the trees. I live close to here and every year around the holidays, I love driving down these streets. The neighbors have come together to teach one another how to make these balls, so it really creates a magic wonderland with so many houses that coordinate.

I know there are plenty of other decorations around the city, but hopefully this list will provide some entertainment and will get you in the holiday spirit. They might even inspire you to step up your own decorating game! Happy holidays y’all!
